Dear interested parties, dear supporters!
The four-week promotional tour Moving for Maasai in aid of ERAMATARE has come to an end. I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart who contributed – sometimes very spontaneously – to its success!
I was deeply touched to attend the ceremony organized by Innsbruck Sillgasse High School to mark the end of our tour. Experiencing how your own enthusiasm spreads across several levels is something great. I don't even know what to call it: I feel great gratitude, joy and awe at the same time.
The question is: what has the tour achieved and what's next?
RESULT :
The efforts have paid off: to date, July 22, 2024, we have been able to raise a total of around € 110,000 in donations for ERAMATARE.
Gymnasium Sillgasse fundraising run | € 58,350 school run € 52,320 other donations € 1,825.00 Sponsoring Run Kaira € 4,205 |
Gymnasium Gmunden fundraising run Incl. €2,000 funding from the state of Upper Austria | €16,300
|
Tyrolean Vocational School for Installation and Sheet Metal Technology | € 1,000 |
Cash donations during the tour | € 13,000 |
Transfers during the tour | € 21,000 |
| All amounts are slightly rounded |
The results of the fundraising run of the Montessori School Innsbruck are still pending, and we are also hoping for the arrival of some more pledged donations.
After almost two years, these donations have finally made it possible for us to continue building the school.
We are also pleased about the media attention that has helped our ERAMATARE project to become better known. The ORF, Servus TV, Tirol TV, the Salzburger Nachrichten, the Tiroler Tageszeitung, the archbishop's Rupertusblatt and some district newspapers have reported on us. We were also featured in many photos on social media.
I firmly believe that this strengthens us in the long term and increases our power to act.
OUTLOOK :
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT 2024
The long-standing shell of the three classrooms will be completed and the classrooms will be equipped with furniture. In January 2025, another class in our English Primary School will open (3rd grade).
We are currently planning the administration building (directorate, teachers' room and conference room, library, infirmary) as well as a covered kitchen with a dining area for the children. All of this should be implemented in 2025.
SPONSORSHIPS
We are still looking for kind people to set up a standing order for ERAMATARE and help us to cover the running costs of running the school (salaries for teachers and other employees, school materials, hot meals and school uniforms). With € 40,- per month (€ 1,32/day) all costs for one child are covered. By making education possible, you are giving a child joy and opportunities to shape their future.
Any amount is welcome!

WOULD YOU LIKE TO ORGANIZE A CHARITY EVENT?
Whether for a private birthday party, a charity run, the parish café, a flea market or a benefit concert - just get in touch with me! I will be happy to provide you with information, flyers and posters. We would be delighted if you would support ERAMATARE and actively take on responsibility.
TRAVEL WITH ERAMATARE
Through ERAMATARE TOURS it is possible to realize your personally designed trip in Tanzania. 30% of the profits go to ERAMATARE, our NGO. Our project initiator and partner Kaira Manangwa Laizer has been working in tourism for many years and runs the company.
NETWORKING
I contacted the director of the Episcopal Gymnasium Paulinum in Schwaz and invited his school to hold a charity event for ERMATARE in the new school year.
Prof. Dr. Reinhard Stauder will propose ERAMATARE to the Rotary Club for a charity event and will advocate for my invitation.
MEDIA
If all goes well, an article about "Moving for Maasai" will appear in the magazine "Abenteuer Philosophie" in September. Markus Felder has also invited me to an interview for his podcast "Der Existenzde Mensch" (FREIRAD) on October 3, 2024.
May our work succeed!
Wishing you a relaxing, refreshing summer
